Q How do I see table chat?
A Table chat is available on the lower left corner of the table.
Q How do I chat with other players?
A You can chat with players at any table. To chat at a table place your mouse cursor in the Chat box, type your text and click Enter.
Q What kind of operating system do I need in order to play poker?
A We support all standard versions of Microsoft Windows from Windows XP onwards. However, we do not currently support Mac.
Q What is the minimum screen resolution setting that I can use?
A You will need a system that supports 800×600 graphics settings, although for a more enjoyable experience we recommend a screen setting of 1024×768 or higher.
Q What kinds of games are available?
A We currently offer a wide variety of types of games in ring games and tournaments. We offer Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, and 32 Card Draw.
Q What color settings can be supported?
A Because we use high resolution graphics, you’ll need your computer to be set to “High Color (16 bit)” or higher.
Q How much available disk space do I need?
A You’ll need 30MB of space on your hard drive for the client download and installation. We also recommend a minimum of 512 MB Ram and 1GHz CPU.
Q How long do I have to reconnect and get back into the hand should i be disconnected?
A If you were playing in a game and you reconnect within 35 seconds, you will be able to act on your hand.
Q What is a time based tourney?
A A time based tourney is a tournament that is played for a set period of time rather than a freeze out tournament which plays down until someone has all the chips. Winners and prize money is dependent upon chip count at the time the clock expires. First place goes to the player with the most chips and the rest of the prize pool is disbursed based upon chip count in descending order.
Q How do I re-size the tables?
A Re-size tables by clicking and dragging the table from any of its edges. Release the mouse button once you’ve found your desired table size.
Q How can I straddle?
A In order to straddle simply select the straddle box on the bottom right hand of your screen once you are sitting at the table.
Q What is a geo target tournament?
A Geo targeted tournaments are country or region specific. They allow players only from that specific region or country to participate and play.
Q How can I use the tournament filter?
A The tournament filter is located directly above the tournament list in the tournament lobby. Use the filters by clicking them. Once the selected filter is highlighted in green it will display the information for the highlighted item.
Q How Can I check my stats?
A You can view your statistics for your current session once seated at the table. Click on the “Graph” tab on the far left located directly above the chat box to see how you’re doing on the session.
Q Will you give out any of the information you collect about me?
A The privacy and information of our customers is importance to us at Americas Cardroom. Your Data will NOT be given to any third parties.
Q What can i do to keep my Americas Card room account secure?
A Do not share your login information or password with anyone, and be sure to close the poker client once you have finished playing. We advise that you change your password on a regular basis.
Q Why can’t my friend play from the same IP?
A For your protection and to avoid collusion we do not allow multiple accounts to play from the same IP address.
