The following rules are applicable to all of the tournaments in Americas Cardroom.
Americas Cardroom.net provides a safe and secure environment for its players. Please review the rules below to familiarize yourself with acceptable conduct during tournament play.
1. Americas Cardroom.net will review all unusual circumstances that may arise during tournament play. Should these circumstances arise, Americas Cardroom.net will objectively review all factors before coming to a decision to best resolve any issues and to find the most just resolution for all parties involved.
2. Tournaments will begin at scheduled times which are displayed in the “Tournament Lobby.” Americas Cardroom.net reserves the right to cancel or delay a scheduled tournament without prior notice.
3. Tournament details including the duration of each level and blind structures will be displayed prominently in the Tournament Lobby. Americas Cardroom.net reserves the right to change these details at any time without prior notice.
4. No-limit tournaments have no restriction on the number of raises allowed. In our fixed limit tournaments, raises are capped at 3.
5. Each player is randomly assigned a seat. Americas Cardroom.net does not permit players to change seats during a tournament. All tournaments will begin with the button being placed at seat one.
6. The prize payouts will be determined once all the re-buys and add-ons have been completed and registration is closed. Prize pools may vary depending on number of entrants and re-buys.
7. To register for any tournament or pay re-buys and add-ons, the player must have the chips accessible in the account. Chips currently in play will not count as available.
8. Players may only participate in a tournament once. Should a player be eliminated from a tournament they will be unable to re-register during late registration.
9. The use of multiple accounts for one person is strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated.
10. A tournament ends once a single player has accumulated all the chips in the tournament. In the result that 2 or more players are eliminated in one hand the player with the most chips prior to the hand being dealt will be awarded the higher finishing spot. In the result of a tie both players tie for that rank and equally distribute the prize pool.
11. At a time when there is a significant increase in the prize pool Americas Cardroom.net will go “hand for hand”. This allows every table to complete hands at the same time in order to fairly determine the finishing order. Two players at different tables eliminated simultaneously will be considered to be knocked out at the same time. The finishing order will then be determined relative to their chip count prior to the hand.*(see rule 11.)
12. No player receives the button twice in a row. In the circumstance in which player is eliminated in the blinds the button will continue to move in a clockwise direction. As all players have the opportunity to be spared a blind when this occurs, it’s an equal opportunity proposition for all players.
13. When players are playing heads up at the final table, the small blind will be in the position of the dealer.
14. As players are eliminated throughout the tournament tables will break and players will be reseated. Reseating is completely random. On occasion players may be reseated in a blind they had just paid, However our software tries to relocate players in seat positions similar to those at which they were previously seated.
15. Players will receive breaks throughout all of the various tournaments. Please see the tournament lobby prior to playing to see when each scheduled break will happen. Breaks begin once all play has commenced at every table of the tournament. Some breaks may last slightly longer than others, depending on the length of time players take to make their decisions.
16. Upon entering a tournament players must assume the risk of internet issues and disconnection. Americas Cardroom.net accepts no responsibility for losses due to internet issues the player may have. Should a player become disconnected they will still receive cards, and pay blinds and antes. Players may voluntarily sit out during a tournament, but they will also continue to receive cards and pay the necessary blinds and antes.
17. It is strictly forbidden to discuss a hand or hand possibility while the hand is in play. Any discussion of play will result in a penalty or automatic expulsion from the tournament and possibly Americas Cardroom.net permanently.
18. Players caught in collusion such as chip dumping, soft play, or unethical chat will be banned from the tournament and their account(s) will be banned from playing on Americas Cardroom reserves the right to withhold any/all funds in an account held by a player suspected of cheating. This is done to reimburse players cheated by that player.
19. Players may not hand off the tournament to another player unless it is due to internet failure and is done while making arrangements to get back online.
20. In the unlikely event that Americas Cardroom experiences a server crash, the hands and chip counts will be restored to that prior to the crash. Should the tournament need to be cancelled, players will receive funds based upon chip counts at the time of the crash.
21. The prizes awarded in bounty tournaments will be placed in the account of the player who eliminated the bounty at the end of the tournament. Players may not work together to eliminate a bounty player as this is considered collusion (see rule 18.) If a bounty is unable to show up to play the tournament, no bounty cash prize will be awarded for their elimination.
Should any dispute or situation arise, all decisions made by Americas Cardroom.net management are final.
